One of the coolest racing games to hit the Windows platform, Asphalt 8: Airborne has just gotten better thanks to a hefty game update by makers Gameloft. The update brings six new tracks in a new location, fresh racing events, new sports cars and more music to head bang to while you’re racing.
Asphalt 8 makes its way to Asia in this update, to the iconic Great Wall of China. There are six new tracks designed to distract you with floating Chinese lanterns and exotic Chinese scenery lined up along the way. There are 30 new career events that are spread across 8 seasons and you can take your pick of the newest cars like the unique 2014 McLaren P1, the iconic Ferrari Testarossa, the powerful Dodge Challenger or the cross-country racer 2014 Ford F-150 to participate in them.
Apart from the overall bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements, there’s a much more refined multiplayer matchmaker system that ensures you are fairly matched up when you meet up with higher ranked players. As far as the music goes, you can enjoy new tracks from The Crystal Method, Band of Skulls, and Silversun pickups.
With this update, the Windows version of the game is as good as it is on other platforms with the only exception of Twitch TV support which is available for iOS users.
If you have already downloaded the game on your Windows 8 device or Windows Phone, just hit that update button to enjoy racing in China. If you still haven’t picked up the game, you can get it for your Windows device and your Windows Phone simply by clicking the link.
