How hard can it be to rack up the top score when you get to choose a numbered tile off a virtual game board? If you think this is another one of those lame games that you can polish off in a few minutes of distracted gameplay think again. Because Tile Temple Tactics is much more than that.
In this board game you are required to remove a numbered tile from a board and then your opponent will do the same but only from the row or column from where you made your move. The removed tiles numbers will be added to the respective player’s score. The game ends when there are no more tiles left to be removed and the one with the highest score is declared the winner.
While that is the basic rule of the game, it becomes complicated when combo points can be picked up by either players. For instance players can pick up numbered tiles that have the same symbol by their side and if you can pick a number with three of the same symbols, then even better. There are also negative and mystery tiles to add to the mix. Negative tiles can be combined with positive tiles to score combo points and you never know what’s hidden beneath a mystery tile either. You can also make use of a little bit of magic to turn things in your favor.
Tile Temple Tactics can be played in isolation, but obviously the fun lies in going on a head to head challenge with other players in the online multiplayer mode. If this is the sort of game you’re likely to enjoy, the good news is that Tile Temple Tactics is available on the Windows Phone Store for the price of free.
